Went on from OHHS to Whitman College where I met my wife Heather - then to Northwestern University, where I got my PhD in Physics in 1999. After four years of postdoctoral research at Cornell University, in 2003 got a faculty job at Luther College in NE Iowa, where we've been ever since - it's a great town and college, and a wonderful place to raise our kids. We have three daughters, Abigail (6), Sarah (4) and Rebekah (2), and are expecting another (a full house!) in September - which is one reason we won't be travelling out west in August.
